I came to architecture by way of construction. My father and I ran a civil construction firm. I made the jump into architecture in my thirties.

Multifamily - I was co-chair of the AIA Denver Housing Committee in 2014 and have experience with a variety of project types including townhomes, garden apartments, and podium projects. Familiar with Fair Housing requirements and other issues unique to this genre.

Healthcare - Experience with hospital projects, clinics, and medical office buildings. I am EDAC accredited, familiar with FGI guidelines and have filled multiple roles on healthcare projects, including construction administration, project manager and project architect

Cultural/Community - Libraries were a major part of my early career and I have a keen interest in bond funded projects. I have worked with several non-profits and have experience with fire stations and other public facilities as well. I am LEED BD+C accredited and familiar with entitlement research and ADA requirements.

Commercial - I have experience with multiple commercial project types from TI to high rise construction. I am familiar with BOMA standards, leasing plans, and field verification of large commercial projects. I have also managed CA for multi-year construction schedules.

Retail/Restaurant - Experience in restaurant design/detailing, tenant improvements, mall renovations, signage, and branding packages. Familiar with entitlement research and code/zoning requirements.

Construction - Prior to making a career change, I ran a family owned boring and tunnelling firm. Involved in all aspects of the operation. Worked as an estimator/project manager for the tunnel/bore division of a large Denver-based construction firm during the downturn.
